Tailored Automotive Detailing has evolved from passion.
Fifteen years ago The Tailor, David Bibiloni, drove with a newly issued license and an inspired foot.
A passion for speed was launched.
Driving took him many places, and with great speed at times, but he always believed that the driving experience did not rest wholly on how fast you could get from point A to point B, but the experience shared its totality with how the driver actually arrived. It is here that his detailing process found its name: Godspeed Precision (GSP)*.
A passion for the automobile was cultivated.
Automotive models and manufacturers outnumber the individual ability to acquire or experience them. But it wasn’t a collection of vehicles or bragging rights of owning the latest euro coupe in which he found delight , it was something purer and finer.
A passion for dignity became rooted.
Through vehicles, The Tailor found precision and beauty. He found depth and character. He connected with a precision of lines, geometries, and textiles that had all been carefully crafted by artisans and put together by skilled laborers. And though our vehicles are made to withstand weather and fall subjects to ill circumstances, much like ourselves, they were crafted with careful hands and deserve to be dignified through care, attention, and revitalization. He became good at what he did and other car owners began to seek him out. He found a means to serve.
A passion for automotive tailoring ignited.
Through Automotive Tailoring The Tailor saw an opportunity to use his gifts, acquired skills, and knowledge to improve the lives of those around him, those that sought him out, and those that had no idea a tailored vehicle could not only change the way they drive- but also the way they live.
The passion evolved and a new paradigm was established. Currently, The Tailor operates on five principles:
- Whether you’re talking about driving a clean car or maintaing a clean spirit, there can be no argument that clutter and filth are not good. Donald Trump once stated that successful people don’t drive dirty cars. While The Donald may or may not believe there are different definitions of success, The Tailor believes that there is a difference between cleaning a car and getting it clean.
- It’s not about what you drive, how fast you go, or who you are…it’s about how you arrive*. The Tailor only uses the best products on your vehicle and each project will benefit from a custom selection based on vehicle manufacturer, color, age, textiles, and special needs. Through careful product selections, deft application of techniques/processes, and a dexterous use of time, The Tailor can cleanse, correct, prepare, protect, and present your vehicles in a way that ensures you arrive looking and feeling your best. He guarantees it.
- Cars work harder than my sneakers. Yet, if I knew I only had one pair of sneakers to last me the next 5 years, and those sneakers cost me a few thousand dollars, I would treat them very differently than if I knew I was getting another pair in a few months. They would be an investment (no matter how much they depreciated) and I would do my best at keeping them nice.
- Every automobile has a soul. Every soul has a story. At Tailored Automotive we help that story shine through unimpaired paint, textiles, and lines of design. Every automobile deserves to be restored and protected to let that story be told- even a daily driver.
- Everyone deserves to “Drive like a Millionaire”. Everyone does not need to be a millionaire to wake up and have that distinguished feeling that comes with knowing “Things are good.”
Just step inside a Tailored Vehicle and see for yourself.
